by any chance are you setting the second drive as "active" meaning to boot off it. Only your first system drive should be set to "active" so it will boot off of it where your OS is.

ok if it is just 1 VD with 5.5TB of free space, then that is what it is. You might be able to partition that free space into a logical drive within the OS once you boot, but I am not that familiar...
